Shipping Policy
KMC Designs | Effective: 19 June 2026
This policy explains how KMC Designs processes, manufactures, and ships your order. Because every item we
sell is 3D printed — either to order or from a small batch — our fulfilment process is different from a traditional
retailer holding ready-made stock. Please read this policy before placing your order so you understand what to
expect.
1. How Our Orders Work
Unlike retailers that ship from existing inventory, KMC Designs manufactures each item using FDM 3D printing
after your order is received. This means your product is made fresh for you — but it also means that production
time must be factored into your overall wait before dispatch.
2. Production (Print) Time
■ Important: A single item can take up to 6 hours of active print time. This is before packaging or
handover to a carrier. Please account for production time when you need an item by a specific date.
Print time varies depending on the size, complexity, and infill settings of your item:
• Small items (fidgets, clips, small desk accessories): approximately 1–3 hours per item.
• Medium items (phone holders, standard desk organisers): approximately 2–4 hours per item.
• Large or complex items (decorative pieces, multi-part assemblies): up to 6 hours per item.
These are print times only and do not include post-processing (removal, cleaning, quality check) or packaging,
which adds additional time.
3. Estimated Dispatch Times
Under normal conditions, orders are dispatched within the following timeframes after payment is confirmed:
• Standard in-catalogue items: 1–3 business days.
• Custom or made-to-order items: 2–5 business days.
• Multi-item orders: may take longer as items are printed sequentially.
4. Order Backlog & Production Delays
■ During busy periods, a print queue backlog can occur. When this happens, dispatch times may
extend beyond our standard estimates. We ask for your patience and understanding — your order will
be printed and dispatched as soon as possible.
A backlog may arise during peak periods (holidays, promotional events), following a high volume of
simultaneous orders, or due to a printer maintenance event. When a backlog occurs:• We will update our website and/or product listings to reflect current estimated dispatch times.
• If your order is significantly delayed beyond the estimate shown at checkout, we will contact you by email.
• You may request a cancellation and full refund at any time before your order is dispatched.
• We do not offer compensation for delays caused by production backlog, but we will always communicate
proactively.

ordering so we can advise on current print queue times.

5. Shipping & Transit Times
We currently ship within Australia only. Once dispatched, estimated transit times are as follows:
Transit times are provided by the carrier and are estimates only — they are not guaranteed. KMC Designs is not
responsible for carrier delays, missed deliveries, or delays caused by circumstances outside our control (e.g.
severe weather, public holidays, industrial action).
6. Shipping Costs
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on the weight, dimensions, and destination of your order. Free
shipping promotions may be offered from time to time and will be displayed on the website where applicable. All
shipping costs include GST.
7. Order Tracking
Once your order is dispatched you will receive a shipping confirmation email containing your tracking number
and a link to track your parcel. Please allow up to 24 hours for tracking information to become active after
dispatch.
8. Delivery Issues
8.1 Incorrect address
You are responsible for providing a correct and complete delivery address at checkout. If a parcel is returned to
us due to an incorrect address, we will contact you and may charge a re-delivery fee to cover additional
postage.
8.2 Lost or missing parcels
If your tracking shows your parcel as delivered but you have not received it, please first check with neighbours
and any safe drop location on your property. If the parcel is still missing, contact us within 10 days of the
expected delivery date so we can lodge an investigation with the carrier.
8.3 Damaged in transitIf your order arrives damaged, please photograph the outer packaging and the item and contact us within 7 days
of delivery. We will arrange a replacement or refund in accordance with our Refund & Warranty Policy.
9. International Shipping
We do not currently ship internationally. If you are based outside Australia and would like to enquire about an
international order, please contact us at support@kmcdesigns.com.au and we will consider your request on a
case-by-case basis.
